Shadow foreign secretary rejects Jeremy Corbyn's view on shoot-to-kill Shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn has said it is "perfectly reasonable" for police to shoot to kill terrorists who pose a threat to life - after Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said he was "not happy" with such a policy. Mr Benn told the Today programme that it was a "long-established precedent" that lethal force could be used to prevent "further loss of life". He told presenter Justin Webb that Labour's policy "remains the same".
