Maybe folk like Ash Sarkar are part of the problem Archived Message

I suspect that Labour has spent far too long listening to academics, think-tankers, analysts, the commentariat and Uncle Tom Cobbley an'all. What I think it needs to do is to send out its troops into all the towns and cities where, logically, it would have expected to win seats and, instead lost them, to talk to actual people of all ages and classes who actually live in these actual places. And it should spend several months doing this to understand why folk who should be natural Labour supporters didn't vote for Labour in enough numbers to win. What Labour should not do is listen to those pontificating about the electoral motives and behaviour of people they don't know living in places they've never visited.
