Re: Aaron Bastani, never trusted him & the Novara Media crew Archived Message Posted by Sinister Burt on December 15, 2019, 12:15 pm, in reply to " Aaron Bastani, never trusted him & the Novara Media crew" I think he's right here though - isn't he saying that corbyn should have fought to impose more democratic reform on the party (including open selections), so that when the blairites came back they wouldn't be able to totally reclaim the party like they did before - there seems like a real risk of that now (though they'll probably have to deeselect most of the members before that'll work (which they can probably do via AS etc); or sign up a million lib dem sock puppets as an alternative (sure 77th brigade and II can rustle some up too) Of course it would have been 'Stalinism' if corbyn had tried to do more of that - easy to armchair-SPAD these things, but i didn't envy corbyn's position steering between these things.
