What the election was about more deeply was to make the UK ideologically safe for US capital. The US drove socialism underground with the jailing of Eugene Debs, the Palmer raids, the taft-hartley act and the mccarthy hearings. The US will do the equivalent under Boris, and will also become implacably domitable by Israel. US 'investment' will then flow large.
