But more deeply, perhaps, the election was to make the UK safe for US capital. The US drove socialism underground with the imprisonment of Eugene Debs, the Palmer raids, the taft-hartley act and the McCarthy hearings. In my humble opinion, the UK will likely behave in a similar manner under the current ersatz nationalist regime (.. In reality comprador elites...), and will also become implacably domitable by Israel. Since it will then be, in the economic & investment sense, the USA, US 'investment' will be able to flow large.
