Because she's such a fearless, uncompromising supporter of the Palestinians, Archived Message

the Zionists hate her with a vengeance. I can think of several of her meetings that the Zionists have tried to stop. In our area, the Zionists pulled out all the stops to try to ban a meeting with her. Once they found out about our meeting with her ("Everyday Life in Apartheid Israel") they started. One of them wrote on a Zionist Facebook page: “Friends... Let’s get the venue to cancel this event...!!!” On another: “Friends...Let’s get this cancelled...!!! Hosting an antisemite is wrong in so many ways...!!!” A young receptionist at the venue started receiving abusive and offensive phone calls. They started to post negative online reviews, knocking the hotel's Facebook star rating down. There were posts from all over the place - Tel Aviv, Haifa, New York, Washington...... They even set up a petition calling for its cancellation on change.org. They were clearly intent on damaging the proprietor's business. Out of respect for him and his business, we found another venue. This was a hall run by an organisation with no internet presence – run by a group of retired people (with no Facebook page or website that can be attacked). Their secretary got really worried when she received a phone call to her ex-directory phone number; this was followed by calls to the helpers at the hall. They thought there might be trouble so we found venue#3 (with just a few hours to spare). This was the most successful meeting we had ever organised with a record turnout. Jenny suggested that we should thank the Zionists for all the extra publicity they gave us! Just to cap it all – Jenny brought along someone to join her for the Q&A. Someone the Zionists dislike and hate even more than her - Tom Suárez! She's a lovely woman; with a great sense of humour.
