Starmer was DPP when CPS emailed Sweden to ask them not to drop investigation into Assange and not to interview him in London. This was a very high profile case so presumably Starmer (a top-notch Human Rights Lawyer?) would have been aware of this legally dubious stitch-up of Assange on behalf of the USA (unless He was incompetent or good at looking the other way.) Now 9-10 yrs on the UK is being accused by UN of Human Rights abuse and torture of Assange. Looks like Starmer is uniquely qualified to be the continuity Blair candidate.
