P123land is on Crossrail, slated to open this year (like every year). Its happening all over crossrail. Meanwhile, he is not actually being forced to pay. All that happens is crossrail-accessible residential areas are switching to "gentry" ownership by CofL whiteCollar "young couples". Quite dramatically. If he owned the property, say from an equal number of years ago, he'd be forced out by the high inheritance tax anyway, on the upwardly valued property which would have hit a higher bracket. I think the problem is property valuation in general in the SE and no regional policy. When you travel, its obvious which countries have a regional policy and which do not. The USA does not. Japan for example does. - Shyaku
