Funny how oh-so-correct privileged protestant intellectuals fail to value the protection that the British monarchy affords them... there was a reason for the restoration and it's called "puritanism"...Monarchy may be a racket..but it's familiarity that breeds contempt..and you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone..I see nothing but the service of a shallow schadenfreude here....divorced from the historical reality of assassination or abuse..things neither of Diana's children have ever been (proven), guilty of....Carping only succeeds in discrediting the republican cause in the eyes of the mass of the electorate..If we are ever to replace the old order we must have something to replace it with (the British Monarchy's mantra for many decades), I only see the cause of division served... "one" may as-well read Private Eye!
