“No parent can completely isolate their child from fake news. But what we can do is give kids the tools to distinguish the genuine from the false and encourage them to develop critical thinking — to ask themselves: who produced the video and why? Are they a reputable organization? Are they just telling one side of the story? Is there another view?” How do they intend to do that?....It's an assumption of power..when will they learn that they are there to report what others are saying and doing not what they themselves wish to be happening, to have happened or to happen? This requires impartiality across the board....but how can an over-privileged elite ever hope to be impartial..Newsround was there to engage with children not to condition and brainwash them...."We do it to protect them!" they cry....sure the world can be a dangerous place but you don't make it less so by blinkering kids from the facts..All of this is as true of their science reporting as it is of their political..they serve the vested interests (much of the time), ..
