Correction. Rutnam, not Putnam. In his three years at the Home Office, he had worked under Amber Rudd, Savid Javid and then Patel. There are so many ministerial changes under the Tories. Upheavals each time? Previously he was at the Dept of Transport under Justine Greening, the SoS for Transport. She was followed by Failing Grayling who was replaced by Patrick McLoughlin.
