-Looking for the result of the above Putin-Erdogan meeting & found this header & subhead from the NYT. Putin and Erdogan Reach Accord to Halt Fighting in Syria As President Vladimir V. Putin welcomed Turkey’s leader to Moscow, his primary goal is to protect his long-term project of dividing NATO. -If the NYT want the punters to pay good money to get beyond the paywall maybe they should stop subhead signalling beforehand that all you will be getting in the body text are the ravings of an idiot but hey, I suppose they have a large media-engineered US Russiaphobic market that love their delusions enough to pay money to have them reinforced: http://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/05/world/europe/putin-erdogan-syria.html -Reuters snippets claim there indeed has been an agreement for a cease fire to begin at midnight and that: "...Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan agreed on Thursday to set up a security corridor for Syria’s Idlib province, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters in Moscow." MOSCOW (Reuters) http://www.reuters.com/article/us-syria-security-putin-corridor-idUSKBN20S2CM http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-syria-security-erdogan-ceasefire-idUKKBN20S2D2 -I would hope the only "corridor" granted would be a face saving one that leads his colonial army back home to Turkey, but I'm sure Erdogan has other plans in the Jahadi wasps nest of Idlib that he keeps sugaring and likewise that Putin knows that.
