Total cases seem static while the recovery curve is climbing steeply. I read this plateu in total cases not as a reduced infection rate, but as a constant infection rate with a lagging but climbing recovery rate. If so, it is a little concerning.
It is hard to understand why, with china producing 1.6 million test kits per week, the rest of the world needs to freak about preparedness - they get everything else from China.
Finally, I cannot understand what magic ingredient northern italy has - it neither borders china nor is an obvious hotspot for chinese tourists. Moreover, Italy is a G7 country (haha).
