    Just been having a quick poke around the stats.

    Total deaths, all ages covering all weeks in March 2019 = an AVERAGE of 10,553 per week.

    Total deaths:average of corresponding
    week over the past 5 years     = 10,793 covering all weeks in March previous to 2019.

    I could only find numbers for the first week of March 2020 which was:

    Total deaths, all ages = 10,895

    (corresponding week in March 2019 = 11,044)

    Nothing recorded so far for that week relating to respiratory disease related deaths.

    Will be interesting to see the figures for the rest of March 2020, when they appear, to get a clearer picture.

    Just my own stab at it, I'm no statictician!
