The lockdown is a good idea. It stops spread. It seems rather obvious. It needs to be more stringently imposed. More support needs to be given to disadvantaged people. I'd imagine some people are in a really bad way. But that's not an argument for lifting the lockdown. It's an argument for providing more support. So far they've been mainly supporting the bosses.
If you were a member of an ethnic community or an anarchist or activist who actually put down their pen or book and took to the street and who in the eyes of the police is always up to no good you would have encountered the heavy hand of the police many times. It's only now with these trivial restrictions that impinge upon the freedoms of the middle classes that people suddenly start worrying about it becoming a police state. Many people already know it is and always was a police state. Anyway I said all this before and there seems little point in saying it again. Here's a link:
