fully-electric hitech industrial society idea. A never-workable mirage now evaporating. The way we're going to deal with the Synergising Global Crises is by dying back in our overall numbers, without any effort on our part, just by letting Mam Gaia take care of it; and by the survivors leading much simpler, less demanding lives, whilst Mam also heals and re-fecundates her bruised planet - again, without needing any significant help from us. This unwelcome sketch of the future awaiting us is also, nevertheless, the most likely. Covid panic? You ain't seen nothing yet! Richard Heinberg, easily the most level-headed and soberly well-informed commentator on the SGCs whom I know, as well as appearing in the Moore doc, reviews it pertinently here: https://www.postcarbon.org/review-planet-of-the-humans/
