Joe Slovo, the Colemans, Ruth First (killed by a letter bomb posted to her by SA security police), Albie Sachs (arm blown off by a bomb), Ronnie Kasrils, etcetera Educated, privileged, highly principled. Many of these Jewish families had come out to South Africa from Lithuania and UK in late 19th century.
