I needed an annual blood test before I see the surgeon next month who carried out an operation on me. I was not allowed to go to the surgery or to the hospital for this blood test but was told that a nurse would call to my home.
Yesterday TWO nurses turned up wearing full PPE. I have been 'self isolating' so there was no danger of my having contracted the Covid 19 disease. They were in the house for all of 5 minutes and I watched them take off all of their protective coverings including visors and put it all into a plastic bag before they left with the stuff.
OTT? I wondered what the cost to the NHS was for the nurses' time, their car use, and the quantity of PPE used.
