    It's a difficult call: Is it better to try to re-capture the Labour party to make it something closer to what it used to be as a workers mass party, defending the working class's interests, and by extension, the interests of all the plebian majority; or is it ultimately more useful to walk away, and see whether a new formation - yes, such as The Workers Party - might prove more fruitful in the end?

    In a back-handed way it's a relief to be too old and worn out to be able to get too actively involved. If I were thirty years younger, it would be a grisly decision to have to make. I lean towards GG's latest effort to float a new mass party, though. But in Britain, with it's iniquitous actually anti-democratic pretend-democratic political system, it's stony ground to try to cultivate.

    OTOH, the black swans are on the wing in numbers right now, it seems. The world is in for some upheaving surprises...
