The point is perhaps as Dan says, and as Prof Raoult has said, that the curve followed is basically the same with most epidemics, and there are no signs that this one is different. What IS different however, is that regardless of the depth of the curve and the timing, all countries are following the same script remarkably closely, as if orchestrated from WHO knows where. Australia, as said before, is Building 7, and as we move to allow 5 people to meet together, but not open restaurants to more than 10 people, the UK does the same. the UK's daily case rate is two-thirds of Australia's TOTAL, while our total death rate is equal to six hours in the UK. Meanwhile we have spent over 10% of our GDP to prop up the banks and give temporary relief to the millions thrown out of work by government decree. I don't go with the no worse than flu business altogether, as CV19 is clearly different from flu, but the damage from the lock down exceeds it and will exceed it by a factor of ten or a hundred, by the time this is over, if it ever is.
