Flip side is kids (mine) stressing out when the Internet does goes down (mine was down for a week), because it's the only communication and they're worried about getting behind. School here doesn't have actual lessons on Skype/zoom, just really poorly put together worksheets. Upside is I've been able to teach tech problem management when file formats are rubbish from technologically incompetent teachers before the attitude was they didn't need my help, they know how computers work. Also, I guess life skills have developed a bit in other areas (like food prep, housework, generally responsibilities. All the stuff I had to juggle as a kid with school (grew up on a farm). Big problem is the lack of longer term compromise officially with results; which is really what school is all about I guess. It's a worrying time for kids who care about school and no matter how much I point out the longer term lack of relevance (sorry, but past reading a writing and a desire to continue to learn, the actual education part of school is mostly a stepping stone you don't think about at all once you're onto the next one!) it doesn't diminish the stress.
Nice though to hear some teachers are taking their responsibilities seriously! Sorry, mixed bag of observations here. Not trying to downplay your job or anything.
