Brown's autobiography bombed. 'Gordon Brown has previously spoken of his irritation with Tony Blair for breaching their arrangement to relinquish the leadership of the Labour Party. Now Mr Brown has a further reason to be annoyed as his memoir has failed to compete in the bestseller lists. Despite receiving a warm reception from critics, Mr Brown’s My Life, Our Times has sold poorly in comparison to Mr Blair’s autobiography. Mr Blair’s A Journey sold 219,390 copies in the first seven weeks after it was published in September 2010, more than ten times the sales achieved by Mr Brown. Despite going on sale just before the Christmas shopping rush, when book sales are at their highest, Mr Brown’s memoir sold only 20,314 copies between its publication on November 7.
