Vegans have the same issue getting K2; natto/fermented soy is supposed to be the only vegan source high in it.
The covid-Vitamin K connection mentioned may be because of a link between Vitamin K and lower cardiovascular disease generally. Haven't checked it out; there's a summary here https://veganhealth.org/vitamin-k/
from which it seems that it's not clear that the benefit is coming from K2 over K1. Other sources may contradict this one though.
