Milord Dannatt regrets that Covid has prevented a ceremony being held in Normandy to commemorate D Day at the memorial at Arromanches which is still being worked on.

D Day veteran, 94 year old Harry Billinge appeared too.

Last year, President Putin was not invited. Shame on the West. Without the 20million Russians who died on the Eastern Front, there would have been no victory.

PS Dannatt is a director of Cadence Consultancy Ltd, whose activity is described as 'Management consultancy activities other than financial management'. ??

Harry Billinge, awarded the MBE this year by the Queen -

'3 Mar 2020 - Mr Billinge from St Austell, Cornwall was 18 when he landed on Gold Beach on June 6, 1944. "It was hell on earth. Murder. The sea was red with blood, human blood," he said. Mr Billinge, who has dedicated much of his life to fundraising, said the memory of the servicemen killed during D-Day had "never left him".'

An MBE seems a poor acknowledgement. How about a gong for him, Your Maj? He has fund raised for the memorial.
