And I think he's right that they did change the conversation substantially during his time, to a degree that the tories can't just ignore, because they too, like any administration, are just a bunch of little human farties attempting to control a large, potentially dangerous and unmanageable beast - us, the plebes - and they can't just ignore its mood, ever. Much as the cnuts would like to, of course. I never re-joined the party during his time; only ever in it in my distant youth. But afforded a brief flash of hope whilst he was in the hot seat - now completely extinguished, of course; to the point where I hope - wistfully - that the Workers Party will grow into Labour's proper role. AFAIC Starmer's performing-poodles circus is the ex-Labour party now.
