Quite often AHT asks if I'd like to write on a particular point, but I also propose articles like the last two. I have wondered sometimes how many actually write for AHT directly, or even get paid for doing so. but I'm glad to have an outlet prepared to publish outrageous conspiracy theories. It's either get them published and ignored because they are on AHT, or get something read that leaves out part of the story. Interestingly and annoyingly, recently my Genie article was picked up by a small blog in OZ, but the publisher was attacked by former colleagues for doing so and told that he shouldn't touch stuff on AHT. That was following CNN's report. I'm afraid it scared him off, even though he said otherwise. It's just too hard to stray from the course.
