In a New York Times article published on June 5, reporter Apoorva Mandavilli transparently intended to manufacture consent for executive mask-wearing orders by blatantly lying to readers.
The article characterized the WHO as having finally endorsed policies of universal mask use by the public despite having only reluctantly acknowledged the scientific evidence supporting those policies.
In truth, the WHO did not endorse such policies but rather observed that they are not evidence-based.
I provide the full details of how the Times systematically lies to its readers in part three of my series, the first two of which showed how the Times deceived about airborne and asymptomatic transmission.
