Approximately where/when did you actually say that? Archived Message

It seems to me that there are two themes in your writing: (A) You want to write a lot (b) patholgoical distrust of everything you cannot control - it seems you don't want to shuffle off this mortal coil without a serious attempt to feel in control of your life and destiny, however many things this leads you to reject in the proces. Everything else seems variable - for example, the positions you take are somewhat variable. None of the above is what I criticize. I just think it is unethical to be *copiously* dogmatic and polemical about prudent public health measures in a pandemic. I think that if these measures continue after the pandemic is finished, you manifestly have a case. But now is just not the time. You have a "wait and see" attitude about the wrong things, because you are prejudiced. You express a "wait and see" attitude when a new virus is rising exponentially (and you know full well what exponential means), and yet you don't have a wait and see attitude about whether prudent measures that were put in place are going to last longer than the pandemic (assuming the population would stand for it anyway). Opportunism, we are both against. Are you revealing any insights about opportunism, by espousing the rejection of everything other than vitamin C and a healthy immune system as if you are in command of a deeper truth? One that seems to rely on a lot of repetition in the manner of a mantra? - Shyaku
