You can't run away or hide from a virus (e.g. lockdowns, masks) forever. The danger only comes to an end through herd immunity. So the question is, How do you get there? Lockdowns, distancing and masks might hinder the spread somewhat, so could be worth a shot. That could buy some time in managing our journey towards herd immunity. Hospital wards have stood empty (providing nurses with the free time to make dance videos and post on social media). The argument is not tenable, that the reason wards have been empty is because the measures (lockdown, distancing, masks) have been so effective. The actual reason is because the threat has been exaggerated. Even people who support the measures accept that this is no permanent medical solution. It can be a permanent solution to imposing more surveillance and control - just talk-up another virus threat whenever you want to do more of that. This 'solution' involves a revolution in society - our world was made completely different in the space of a month. The only permanent solution is a very different revolution, where the government confronts all the sources that weaken/threaten our health. For strong immune systems, we need clean food, air and water. That would require clamping-down on, and regulating, big business. And if the source of viruses is risky bio-research, it means confronting big-science (e.g. military, pharma). But the government comprises cowards and wh*res. That is why they only seek to police poor powerless people, who simply live in society, but say and do nothing about policing corporations, who shape society, e.g. public health. People would have been more accepting of temporary debatable measures, e.g. lockdowns/masks, if they saw implementation of permanent un-debatable solutions, e.g. rapid imposition of regulations on food, air and water. And the problem remains, for your side of the argument, of explaining the relatively decent performance of places where draconian measures were not introduced.
