The Sabbath...The doctrine of predestination where only the chosen ones are saved and the rest of humanity goes to hell in a handbasket...the "elect" aka the chosen people. Its a mixed blessing when people learn to read through the church and the bible is basically the only book available: primarily because the new testament is just so short probably because most of the interesting stuff about Jesus didn't pass the censor...so the old testament became the source of culture... there went the Scots: one of the most literate races on the planet but with their heads crammed full of Hebrew.
