Twitter has a new policy of labelling certain media "state-affiliated". So, beneath their logo, certain outlets have a new strapline, forcibly inserted. But this applies only to Russian and Chinese media eg Ruptly, RT. Other state-affiliated media like BBC, France24, AFP, etc are not obliged to carry the strapline. Other media are overtly 'corporate affiliated and owned', eg CNN. Some outlets get labeled and others don't. |
