"Tell me what it means that Novichok could not have been spread in the Salisbury environment without killing anyone, and how the conclusions affect the "bona fides" of dictates from the same government that brought us "highly likely" and thousands more dead in Syria.... How is this different?" Nothing has made it different....which for some strange reason you and others choose to dump down the memory hole. The actual bona fides of the government were that Covid19 was a nothing: so much a nothing that plucky little Britain would not only work through it but thrive and profit from it according to Boris in his speeches. So much a nothing that, after all, according to his eugenics loving sidekick Cummings it would just kill some old folk- so that's all right: a useful nothing then, and Boris could go freely glad-handing those nothing people infected with nothing in their hospital beds and boast about it on tv to prove to us all it was just a nothing until.. the nothing infected Boris and near killed him...and the projections of just how infectious the nothing were and how many human nothings it might infect and kill (a lot) and how many stacked body bags it might take to ruin their authoritas pressured the niggards in charge to take some measures: though still of course allowing several thousand infected privileged to constantly drip on and off planes from infected areas around the planet straight onto the tube carrying more nothing and doing sweet feck all about the captive audience for the nothing in care homes which allowed the original death-by-herd-immunity policy to continue in amended form. So yes, the government lied about Salisbury, it lied about Syria, and it lied about Covid19. -The difference is not in the scepticism of others concerning government bona fides :we think they lied about all three, but in yours who chose to believe it was telling the truth about the latter.
