Additionally, following the end of the 1975-1990 civil war a number of warlords entered politics and still control large parts of the country's political, economic and social sectors. For "warlords" read "members of the popular resistance group, Hezbollah". At least that's who I assume they're referring to. A bit like referring to Sinn Fein politicians as "warlords". |
