Exactly my, oft repeated, thinking. I called the Biden/Harris ticket from the start of the Primaries so .... I told you so (c) Keith. On the serious side, she is a complete horror show and will certainly not get many progressives back into the fold. I think they have one eye on testing her out for her own run next time in the event that Biden doesn't win this year. Even though his polls have been good (although they are starting to fade lately) this might be something that really lets Trump back in especially in swing states. The retirement on health grounds, unelected Veep takes over ruse is so clearly something that the DNC would cook up which may be why they are seemingly so unconcerned with Biden's cognitive decline (something that Covid has allowed them to effectively hide by keeping him in the basement). She has all the idpol armour for when/if that happens: woman of colour, first female president so they can quiet any dissent with the sexist/racist card.
