You seem to be assuming that I/Galloway/the WPB are monarchists? I don’t know where you got that idea.
”A united Ireland without an independent Scotland is unthinkable”
Well i’ve just thought about it. So there.
In all seriousness: I don’t see the necessary connection between the two at all, sorry. I refer you to the two WPB vids posted above, for further info.
Btw I don’t necessarily oppose any conceivable move for Scotland’s independence in any conceivable circumstances. If, for example, Tommy Sheridan were leading the charge for a People’s Republic of Scotland, I might well support it. Indeed, if Alex Salmond were leading the charge for a meaningfully social-democratic Scotland outside of NATO, I might well support that. But the current leadership of the SNP are not proposing any such option. Sturgeon’s conception of “independence” is a neo-liberal Scotland inside the EU and NATO, almost certainly with the Queen still as head of state; the sole purpose it would serve would be to cleave off the more left-wing Scottish electorate from the English with the bribe of slightly better conditions. Divide and Rule, in other words. Objectively it would thus support the UK Establishment, and this is the key reason the WPB oppose it.
