Any kind of competent investigation would have turned up the problems in this case and my inner conspiracy theorist can't help feeling this was allowed to run and go down in flames so they can sweep their hands and say "You see? It's all lies; no Westminster Paedophillia". To hear the MSM you would think Beech was the only person ever to claim these people were involved in some kind of organised child abuse. He wasn't. The long sentence (more than those two lads who killed a copper recently) also serves as a reminder of what can happen for anyone who dares come forward with accusations of this kind. Similar heavy sentences were doled out in the Franklin scandal and the Marc Detroux case, although the latter clearly deserved to be buried under the prison. That case was a massive cover-up though and there were all kinds of claims about high-level child abuse rings in that case that were whitewashed. Another story that you would think journlists would love to get their teeth into that seems to have been ignored.
