'We are not a socialist movement' Archived Message Posted by Sinister Burt on September 3, 2020, 2:22 pm, in reply to "XR Rebel Daily #1" I suppose i can understand why they say this, to try and get more people on board, but saying it is a political statement anyway (and one who the key targets of XR will be only too happy with) - they could at least state they're anti-capitalist (maybe they did). The emphasis on sortition seems a bit naively Liberal too (though i like the idea obviously); given how we're propagandised continuously by expert deceptions along with the usual alienation from the capitalism, 'trusting the people with sortition' at the moment might not work out so great without other ideas being brought forward too (namely socialist/anti-capitalist ideas imv).
