Otherwise they've lost before they've even started, and are playing into the elite strategy to water down and eliminate any radical challenge that might be presented to the status quo. Indeed. The elites have a double strategy. Co-opt who they can, by flattery and a false display of goodwill, which also serves to greenwash themselves. And, intimidate the rest into silence.
