It's a public health issue and they deal with it as they see fit (NZ). I don't see you adding to the debate by not recognising what they are are up to.
Yes, I understand that it's their way of dealing with it. Not sure what I'm not recognizing or that there was a debate. I was just responding to your point that you don't need lockdowns if you have effectively removed the virus, as in here:
Forgive me TN, but my point was simpler than that. If effectively you remove the virus from circulation like South Korea did, one wouldn't have to have these continuous lockdowns and quarantines whilst waiting for the vaccine.
The NZ case clearly shows they will continue, despite having (apparently) effectively removed the virus.
