He abused recess appointment's to the extent that the Supreme Court had to rein him in. Obama took credit for the US oil boom. Democrats undermined democracy in their own party to stitch up the Sanders movement. As for purging the executive of any independent voices, he has done actually bowed to the deep state on foreign and military policy when he campaigned to be less hawkish than the democrats in this area. He's dire but don't look to the dems for salvation.
