I answered your question in a sensible way. It's ludicrous to give a one figure answer, as I made plain. It all depends on (a) what causes the deaths and (b) what you can do reasonably about it. A meteorite falling onto the UK killing millions is clearly something you could do nothing about [at the moment]. So one can say it's unacceptable but utterly meaningless. One just accepts it. One the other hand, for deaths caused by eg police shootings, even 1 is unacceptable -- and you can do something about it without destroying something else in the process. Since I am not an epidemiologist so cannot predict what will happen if we go full tilt for herd immunity. The number may well swing up dramatically methinks. You may speculate, but why not check out to see what happened in Sweden and Belarus where this experiment has taken place? In fact, there the numbers didn't swing up dramatically. They came down, exactly as happens with a flu.
