It all depends on (a) what causes the deaths Like I said, it's overall deaths and as it happens in March it shoots up like there is no tomorrow. It's obviously the virus, never mind the underlying causes. In other words it wouldn't have happened if the virus wasn't around. Second important point, and although you haven't answered my second question directly i.e. what would you do about it, all I can assume is that you are touting the example of Sweden and Byelarus, so I have to assume these would be your ideal scenarios. Byelarus is probably a bad example since we are unlikely to get any meaningful statistics from them. Sweden is better. Both are small countries in terms of population at 10M each, almost equal to London. Sweden has followed voluntarily some rules. Personally I think we have apples and oranges here and wouldn't like to bet on the virus decelerating on it's own like the flus have in the past. Perhaps we need to continue this conversation after the facts are in at some later stage.
