It's just an opinion, based on what happened, no stats needed - loads of northern labour voters voted for 'lower than vermin' tories because they believed red top culture war bullshit about corbyn and the 'lefty establishment', and also fell for the brexit elites and their press moguls telling them brexit was for their benefit (or were just xenophobes - plenty about). I'd say the same about the southern labour voters falling for keir and co's enthusiasm for remain, which they've now largely ditched since it's served it's purpose of getting rid of corbyn's northern support.

I'm the working class as much as anyone (only recently graduated from the lumpen proles), and it was a single issue election for me - but not brexit - it was socialism or not socialism. As i've said before, brexit/not brexit was a piffling issue that had no real bearing on anything, compared to the chance of a socialist spanner in the works (however milquetoast/social democrat, it was obviously still a massive threat to them). As far as the powers were concerned they'd have been happy with either outcome (brexit/remain), but all across 'left' and right, 'labour' and tory, agreed they had to stop the the socialism. Brexit or remain, it's neoliberals all the way down.
