From the same mould as Sir Philip Green and Mike Ashley. The list of acquisitions is long. No mention of what the banks are in for nor of the creditors, let alone of the thousands who have lost their jobs. The only ones who will benefit are the administrators/ liquidators who are usually the giant accountancy firms. The effect of this particular crash extends to Bangladesh. Bangladesh clothing makers say Philip Day owes them £27m https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/may/25/ofbangladesh-clothing-makers-say-philip-day-edinburgh-woollen-mill-owes-them-27m Day was even after the Wyevale garden centre chain which was being flogged off by Guy Hands. The madness of these greedy people is beyond words and shame on the banks for funding them in the 80s and 90s.
