RT-PCR Tests not infallible & we know this fact Archived Message

Its rather strange to me that so many of the nut cases who question the existence of SARS Cov2 and statistics based on the RT-PCR test don't understand that its well known these tests can give a False Negative or False Positive, which is why is usual practice to take three swabs and test them all, this increases the accuracy of the test - further, as RT-PCR tests are lab-based, we also have clinical confirmation to back-up initial findings, which involves good medical knowledge of Covid-19, follow through with X-Ray, MRI or ultra sound testing procedures. To put it bluntly, we know in the HKSAR that we have captured just over 5,200 infections, all infected have been hopitalised, given a cocktail of drugs to combat the virus and observed closely, so, for the nutter brigade to suggest many of these persons never had exposure to SARS Cov2 to begin with is laughable.
