    BBC employee appears to threaten independent journalist with potential 'legal action'? Archived Message

    A BBC person (journalist called Chloe who has protected her Tweets so you can't see them) recently suggested Vanessa Beeley might be prosecutable under International Law, for reporting independently on Syria. The BBC tweet curiously reads like a long, formal list of accusations, written by a lawyer or bureaucrat, rather than a BBC journalist?

    @VanessaBeeley -
    "BBC hack is now threatening potential legal action against me for exposing White Helmets as an AlQaeda auxiliary"

    Elizabeth Vos of Consortium News tweets:

    @ElizabethleaVos -
    "Then you see independent journalists like @VanessaBeeley attacked - journalists who also report skeptically on the role of the US and UK in the Middle East. The Assange Precedent already in action, presumably"
    .

    @finger8 -
    "Incredible - after the BBC News silence on the Assange trial it’s evident the BBC is a Poodle. I’ve never read anything anti-semitic [one of accusations] written by [Vanessa Beeley]; these accusations have fingerprints all over them".

    On October 14, this tweet, which may or may not be related:

    @MoD_Russia -
    "Militants of illegal armed groups preparing to stage another provocation in southern part of Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria.
    White Helmets have already arrived in the area and have received several barrels of chlorine".
