Covid-19 testing Archived Message Posted by Mary on October 16, 2020, 1:09 pm Currently I am on Amoxicillin and Prednisolone to treat recurrent chest and urine infections. Both were prescribed yesterday by my GP. He also told me to arrange for a Covid 19 test to be carried out. I tried to book this yesterday but could not proceed because I did not have a mobile phone number to give them on which to receive the result. Today a friend allowed me to use her number so I tried again to get an appointment. No luck as in answer to a long set of questions I could not say that I had a persistent cough and/or have a raised temperature. I should have lied instead. I think it is appalling that a call centre operative (based in Glasgow I was told) can countermand the instructions of a medical practioner. What is going on in OUR NHS?
