As if Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. had never happened, at the 7:00 mark LBJ intones... "It is a sad commentary on the communist mind that a sign of liberty in Czechoslavakia is deemed a fundamental threat to the security of the Soviet system. [extended pause, emphatic frown] The excuses offered for the Soviet Union are patently contrived…." |
