We've been in a form of isolation since Feb. I agree that 3 months for vulnerable people won't make any difference- I know enough old people who effectively do that each year with the flu season and the flu didn't wipe itself out by everyone getting it. From my medical knowledge (scant) that won't do anything. But as I said, people aren't breaking the rules such as they are because the general belief is that it's nothing special but because we need to work, and we need people and we need to know there's an actual end in sight. I think those who are believing the misinformation on covid are going that way as a second tier to the acknowledgement that all any lockdown has done has been to crumble their ability to pay rent, via lack of employment and shut down of small (not big) business. People are fed up with the farce and some look to explanations that justify their rejection of the farce. What difference does associating with a few cherished friends on top of the thousand or so off the back of my kids in school have? Obviously some, but at least I know who I'm associating with with my friends. That I think is the psychology of it, not misinformation leading to flaunting the rules. First lockdown ordinary people actually tried. This time, not so much because we all know this is essentially forever here on out, unless by some miracle the vaccine is 100% effective. What we know won't happen is a cohesive plan of attack to deal with the virus. Even if it happened here, it won't across America, Europe and the rest of the world simultaneously. Covid is here to stay if it wants to. For most people that means (including plenty of old and vulnerable people I've met) #### it, let's get on and see how long we last. What we also know won't happen is effective living wages, strengthening of the nhs, all that stuff to provide infrastructure and will to cope with it. And then there's the music.. How the football goes on but live music is dead I don't know! It's not an aside to life or longevity. All the things you've said make sense and I broadly agree, but the solutions just aren't going to happen. And this current lockdown is no lockdown at all, when schools colleges and airports are open. By proxy, everyone is still exposed.
