Had plenty of discussion with people about who might have already had it; round here according to symptoms many seem to think they got it as early as Jan and then more recently who knows because the symptoms vary so widely? Those I know for certain who had it recently have displayed no symptoms (ages ranging from infant to 50), but it has only been circumstance (like pregnancy, hospital admission for other things and care worker requirements that have prompted testing at all. It's hard to pin down even with increased testing, unless everyone was required to be tested weekly, but that alone would cause spread anyway. I think a lot of the unknowns will remain unknown even if there were the will. My solution would be a month hard lockdown, all food supplies ahead of time, rent waived and other such bills, and then a year of no international travel except for extreme circumstances. Everywhere.. But what govt would agree to that? |
